Name Something Even Bill Gates Can’t Buy? Our Bodily Autonomy!

I woke up early this morning and took a walk down to the harbor in San Diego, California, a city I’ve called home for the past six years. I only meant to stay for one, but the lockdowns and my personal medical choices made it impossible for me to go home to Toronto, Canada for three years… the place of my birth, a place I once thought I would die in. We all went through major changes in our lives.

As I passed by the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum, a thought began to form… a reflection on the very heart of what it means to be a sovereign individual. This blog post was born from that quiet moment, inspired by a powerful memory of the draconian lockdowns of the COVID-19 era. Billions were coerced to participate in an experimental medical experiment… and we all lost friends and family as a direct result, even though no one wants to talk about it.

As I wrote with my co-author Adrian C. Spitters – Author in our last book, It Starts With Gold, it was incredibly convenient that the money presses ran non-stop while we were being stripped of our civil liberties because so few were willing to stand up to the tyranny. Those that did found themselves being silenced not only by government goons, but by friends, family, and colleagues who chose to go along with the narrative.

Some things simply transcend the transactional. There is a cosmic truth, an absolute certainty that exists beyond the reach of wealth, power, or influence, no matter how vast. Name something even Bill Gates can’t buy? Our bodily autonomy. It is not a commodity to be bartered, a service to be rendered, or a privilege to be granted.

It is an inalienable right, a sacred trust we hold with our very essence, and it is a stark, unwavering warning for societies that claim to value freedom, dignity, and personal sovereignty. This one right… our autonomy over our bodies… stands paramount, a line drawn in the sand that can not be crossed.

This principle, seemingly as natural as breathing, can be eroded, manipulated, and ultimately violated, a slippery slope that ends in the suffocating grip of tyranny and a new form of slavery. My soul is not for sale, and I will not bend the knee to anyone who thinks it is.

History, a stern and unforgiving teacher, offers chilling parables of this truth. Think of the monstrous medical experiments conducted by Nazi physicians on non-consenting concentration camp inmates during World War II. These horrific acts were not just random cruelties… they were the calculated extremes of unchecked power, a stark manifestation of what happens when human dignity is stripped away. The very concept of consent was obliterated, and with it, the humanity of the victims.

These atrocities did not just happen… they were a chilling consequence of a collective failure to protect the individual’s most basic right. In the wake of this darkness, a beacon of light emerged… The Nuremberg Code. This was not just a legal document… it was a defiant declaration, a promise forged from suffering that enshrined the principles of voluntary and informed consent for human experimentation.

The Nuremberg Code’s standards are the bedrock of modern medical ethics. They mandate that individuals must be fully and honestly informed about any medical procedure, treatment, or research, and that their decision must be voluntary, uncoerced, and truly their own. This foundational principle is the armor we wear against exploitation.

It is a shield against future abuses, a testament to the profound value of a single human life and a single person’s decision.

The lessons from history are not confined to a dusty old textbook. The chilling echoes of the past resonate even in more modern contexts. Traitorous abuses of power, like the horrific Tuskegee Syphilis Study… where unsuspecting Black men were denied treatment for decades in the name of “scientific observation”… serve as sobering reminders.

These are not just isolated incidents… they are symptomatic of a deeper societal sickness that arises when we become complacent and let our guard down against those who seek to centralize power and strip us of our humanity. The allure of control, the promise of a “greater good” at the expense of individual liberty, is a siren’s call that has led to countless tragedies.

So, this is more than just a warning… it is a call to action. We must become the fierce protectors and unwavering champions of our bodily autonomy. We must assert our sovereignty with the same passion that a free person breathes air.

We must uphold the sacred principles of the Nuremberg Code not as a suggestion, but as an absolute requirement for a just society. To falter in this duty, to compromise on this one truth, is to risk repeating the most vile and evil chapters of our history. Forgetting or compromising on our bodily autonomy leaves us vulnerable to the whims of an authority that believes it knows what is best for us.

Our duty is not just to remember the past, but to actively enforce, uphold, and never forget the lessons it taught us. The alternative… a life lived in subservience, a soul sold for a fleeting sense of security… is not acceptable. It is a fundamental betrayal of self.
