It was a privilege to be asked to present on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas at The MoneyShow, widely regarded as the premier financial conference in the world. I had attended my first MoneyShow as a young financial professional in the 1990s. Back then, I sat in the audience and took notes, grateful just to be in the room with seasoned voices who had earned their scars in the markets. This year, I stood on the other side of the stage. When I received the invitation from Debbie Osborne, it felt like a full-circle moment.

Debbie is not only the Senior Vice President and Content Director of The MoneyShow, she’s the heartbeat behind its programming. For years, she’s curated some of the most valuable speaker lineups in the industry. Standing beside them was humbling. I presented on my upcoming book, The Last Asset Standing, the sequel to It Starts With Gold™, an international bestseller co-authored with Adrian C. Spitters.
While our first book focused on why individuals must own gold not just as a metal, but as a metaphor for de-risking wealth and re-materializing their lives, the follow-up takes the next step. The Last Asset Standing asks the question: “What is left to stand on when the digital financial system fails?”
Adrian and I exposed the truth behind Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, asked whether they are on-ramps to Central Bank Digital Currencies, and laid out what real assets will matter most when the smoke clears. Our thesis is simple: in a world built on digital illusions, you must root your wealth in what is real, tangible, and sovereign.
